Cult Classics: THE ROOM (2003)

DIRECTED BY: Tommy Wiseau

STARRING: Tommy Wiseau, Greg Sestero, Juliette Danielle

Johnny (Tommy Wiseau) is a successful banker who lives happily in a San Francisco townhouse with his fiancée, Lisa. One day, inexplicably, she gets bored with him and decides to seduce his best friend, Mark (Greg Sestero). From there, nothing will be the same again. Although the film is mainly centered on the melodramatic love triangle, it has many unrelated subplots that remain unresolved. THE ROOM, which has a well-developed cult following, has often been referred to one of the worst films ever made! Greg Sestero’s 2013 book The Disaster Artist, which has been made into a 2017 film starring James Franco, tells the story of the making of the “greatest bad movie ever made”.
