ABOUT:

Dog Film Festival

The New York Dog Film Festival is a program of entertaining and inspiring short films that celebrate the remarkable bond between people and dogs. A portion of each ticket sold will support the Connecticut Humane Society.The festival is comprised of two separate programs which are each a medley of animated, documentary and narrative short films from around the world. (Please note that each program requires a separate admission ticket.)

ABOUT THE FILMS:

Program II, enitled Love Changes Everything, at 1:00pm is made up of thirteen films including THE LEWIS LECTURES, a hilarious animated depiction of what dogs are actually thinking when their owners leave the house; THE POODLE TRAINER, a poignant character study of a circus trainer whose performing poodles are the center of her universe; and SECOND CHANCES, an uplifting documentary about dogs who are paired with imprisoned women, who train them to become service dogs, changing lives on both ends of the leash.

ABOUT TRACIE HOTCHNER:

NY Dog Film Festival founder Tracie Hotchner is a well-known pet wellness advocate and author of The Dog Bible: Everything Your Dog Wants You to Know. She is also the host and producer of ten pet talk radio shows on her Radio Pet Lady Network, including her award-winning NPR show Dog Talk.
